The Constituency Assistant – Communications (CA-Comms) is an employee responsible for the administration of the constituency office of a member of the legislative assembly (MLA). They are responsible for a diverse set of administrative and communications responsibilities, with a focus on excellent customer service. They manage and respond to constituent casework on a strictly confidential basis. They provide administrative and research support for the MLA. They are responsible for maintaining, updating, and creating content for the MLA website, newsletter, and other public relations materials as needed. The CA-Comms works with other constituency staff, the BC Green legislative office staff in Victoria, and other organizations in the area. The CA-Comms will also communicate and coordinate with all levels of government (federal, provincial, municipal, regional, etc.), community groups, and interest groups.
